Both spiritual and natural accounts exist. All of God's children automatically maintain an account with him. Although the account is opened as soon as you dedicate your life to Christ Jesus and He accepts you, it is man's obligation to manage the account.  Examine Matthew 6:19–20 in comparison. "but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal". Bible Reading : Gen 12:1-5 Text : Genesis 12:2 "will make you a great nation; I will bless you and make your name great; and you shall be a blessing" COMMENTARY God's plan for us is much more than being blessed, He wants you to be a blessing. May be your earnest prayers has always been "God bless me", but tonight, l am persuaded to announce to you that God wants you to be a blessing as He told Abraham." And you shall be a blessing Having what to eat, wear, drive, where to live and pay your bills is mere survival. There is a level higher than just being blessed and that level is being a blessing. Bible Reading : Mark 4:35-41 Text : Mark 4:41 "And they feared exceedingly, and said to one another, "Who can this be, that even the wind and the sea obey Him!"(NKJV) COMMENTARY The storm raging all around them didn't seem to worry the teacher. He did, however, secretly have higher expectations for his followers. They were in that boat with the Head of all principalities and powers, the One who rules over all creation, so they weren't alone after all. They were surrounded by the One who created everything and without whom nothing else could have been created. How could they feel fear? But isn't that also frequently our story? Unexpected hardships, frightening times, and confusing seasons are all part of life's storms. And even when Jesus is present, we panic. We lose sight of our fellow boaters. Bible Reading : Ephesians 6:10-13 Text : Eph. 6:12 "For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places". (NKJV) COMMENTARY Every Christian is in a combat field. The conflict is spiritual. When you succeed spiritually, the physical is a work over. The spiritual governs the physical. Bible Reading : 11 Corinthians 9:6-12 Text : 2 Corinthians 9:6 "But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully".(NKJV) COMMENTARY Simply put, sparingly implies giving very little compared to what you already have. Giving must be done sacrificially to produce results. That is a generous donation. Giving that doesn't affect you isn't a plentiful seed; a bountiful seed hurts the giver but moves God.
