SUBMIT TO GOD


Bible Reading: Genesis 26:1-11

Text: Because Abraham obeyed My voice and kept My charge, My commandments, My statutes, and My laws." (NKJV Genesis 26:5)


COMMENTARY                                  Submitting means hearing, trusting, obedience and surrendering to God and his word. The obedience of a father or mother can pave a way of escape and blessings for his children.

This we have observed in the passage of our meditation tonight (Gen. 25:5). The reason God lead Isaac out of where there was a serious famine to a place of Abundance is tied to how Abraham, his father obeyed God, how he kept His charge, His commandments, Statutes and laws.

EQUIPPED FOR SPIRITUAL ARMOR

(NKJV) COMMENTARY Every Christian is in a combat field. The conflict is spiritual. When you succeed spiritually, the physical is a work over. The spiritual governs the physical. GIVE GENEROUSLY

Bible Reading : 11 Corinthians 9:6-12 Text : 2 Corinthians 9:6 "But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully".(NKJV) COMMENTARY Simply put, sparingly implies giving very little compared to what you already have. Giving must be done sacrificially to produce results. That is a generous donation. Giving that doesn't affect you isn't a plentiful seed; a bountiful seed hurts the giver but moves God.
