A MESSENGER OF MERCY


Bible Reading: Gen 12:1-5

Text: Genesis 12:2 "will make you a great nation; I will bless you and make your name great; and you shall be a blessing"

COMMENTARY

God's plan for us is much more than being blessed, He wants you to be a blessing. May be your earnest prayers has always been "God bless me", but tonight, l am persuaded to announce to you that God wants you to be a blessing as He told Abraham."

And you shall be a blessing Having what to eat, wear, drive, where to live and pay your bills is mere survival. There is a level higher than just being blessed and that level is being a blessing. This simply means having enough and to spare.

GIVE GENEROUSLY

Bible Reading : 11 Corinthians 9:6-12 Text : 2 Corinthians 9:6 "But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully".(NKJV) COMMENTARY Simply put, sparingly implies giving very little compared to what you already have. Giving must be done sacrificially to produce results. That is a generous donation. Giving that doesn't affect you isn't a plentiful seed; a bountiful seed hurts the giver but moves God.
