THE GOD OF COVENANT
Bible Reading: Exodus 2:23-25
Text: "He remembers his covenant forever, the word He commended, for a thousand generation" (Ps. 105:8). NIV
COMMENTARY:
The Israelites spent 430 years in Egypt. The earlier part of this period was spent in joy; when the Pharaohs that knew Joseph were on the throne. But the later part was in agony; when the Pharaoh that knew not Joseph reigned, their suffering was so unbearable that they cried unto God, and the Bible says;
"God heard their groaning and remembered and remembered his covenant with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob (Exo. 2:24, 25).
God heard their groaning but what moved him was the covenant.
Listen! Your name, tears, knowledge, experience or wealth may not move God but covenant does. You can maintain your covenant with God by walking blamelessly and constantly putting Him in remembrance of the covenant which is the scripture..
As you are about to sleep tonight, I prophesy to you that this year's covenant is moving God for your favour.
Prayer Points:
1. O Lord, help me keep walking with you, and to do what is right before you.
2. Father Lord, keep me from falling out of your way in Jesus name Amen.
3. Father, help me that I should key into your covenant principles which will work for me in Jesus name - Amen.
Sleeping Capsule:
It takes the God of covenant to remember and keep his covenant.
