THE KINGDOM STYLE

Scriptural Reading: LUKE 22:24-27

Text: "The Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many" (Matt. 20:28).

COMMENTARY

Because it is the pattern of life that God has approved for His children, Jesus Christ will always be a model for true Christians. Throughout His life and ministry on earth, Jesus lived as a servant, both in words and in deeds. However, we see a contradiction in the lives of many people who identify as Christians today: lords and masters in our churches and homes instead of servants.

It would be amazing to envision a world, a church, or a family in which everyone serves others. At the same time, we must crucify the flesh if we are to become capable of continuously exhibiting the servant attitude. To be like our Master, we must first overcome the flesh, which is one of the Christian's worst foes. The greatest people in God's kingdom are those who serve, and the least are those who demand to be served. We pray that you would choose to follow the Master's pattern.

Prayer Points:

1. Lord, I repent of every form of pride in my life in Jesus name.

2. I dedicate my life to kingdom service in Jesus name.

3. Lord, enable me to humble myself in Jesus name.

Sleeping Capsule

He that exalts himself will be humble, and the humble will be exalted. There is joy in genuine service.
