I AM IMPORTANT


Scriptural Reading: 1 CORINTHIANS 12:12-20

Text: But each one has his own gift from God one in this manner and another in that.. (1Cor. 7:7)


COMMENTARY

Everybody is unique in his life, so each individual has his own special talent stored in him/her. You therefore have something to offer and something to contribute for the good of others wherever you are. Only you have the ability to be yourself. We all have something positive to contribute to God's earth, which is why we are here. Only we are capable of carrying out the tasks that are intended for us in our families, communities, churches, organizations, and other settings.

We learned from the scriptural reading that no bodily part is necessary. To properly perform its role, each of them is dependent upon the others. Therefore, you should never let others' remarks make you feel unimportant and discourage you from sitting at the bench. For the edification of the body of Christ, what has God given you? Christ will give you rest if you get up from your sleep. Until nightfall, when no one can work, we can only carry out the work that He has ordered us to undertake. To close the gap that has been created, you are required. Remember, we shall all be rewarded according to our deed here on earth.


Prayer Points:

1. Help me Lord to occupy the position you have called me into, in Jesus name. Amen.

2. I handover myself to you Lord, may I give back that which you have given me for the edification of your church, in Jesus name. Amen.

3. Lord, help me identify my gift and use it for your work in Jesus name, Amen.

GIVE GENEROUSLY

Bible Reading : 11 Corinthians 9:6-12 Text : 2 Corinthians 9:6 "But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully".(NKJV) COMMENTARY Simply put, sparingly implies giving very little compared to what you already have.
