A PERSON OF WISDOM


Bible Reading: Matthew 7:21-27

Text: "Behold, I am coming quickly! Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book." (Rev. 22:7).


COMMENTARY

Jesus said, "Everyone who hears these words of Mine and does them will be like a wise man who builds his house upon the rock; and rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat upon that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock." In the Book of Revelation, the exalted Savior addressed St. John and said much the same thing:: "Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book."

Man requires a solid basis in his spiritual life to endure all conditions, particularly when he is tested and tempted. Christ, His message, and His atoning work form that basis. "No other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ" (1 Corinthians 3:11). He is the main pillar that God established in Zion. Those who hear the good news of salvation in Christ, believe it, and follow His teachings are blessed.


Prayer Points:

1.Oh Lord, please keep my heart firmly planted on the most reliable basis of faith.

2. Lord, assist me in laying my foundation upon you.

3.May I not take foolish actions in Jesus name

GIVE GENEROUSLY

Bible Reading : 11 Corinthians 9:6-12 Text : 2 Corinthians 9:6 "But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully".(NKJV) COMMENTARY Simply put, sparingly implies giving very little compared to what you already have. Giving must be done sacrificially to produce results. That is a generous donation. Giving that doesn't affect you isn't a plentiful seed; a bountiful seed hurts the giver but moves God.
