THE GAINS OF ALLIANCE


Bible Reading: Psalm 86:1 - 10

Text: "Save me from death, because I am loyal to you; save me, for l am your servant and I trust in you." (Psalm 86:2 GNT)


COMMENTARY

We know that the Lord saves and protects His people out of His love, mercy, and faithfulness. However, when seeking divine preference, extraordinary answers to prayers, and deliverance from life-threatening situations, there is often more to present before God.

In Psalm 86:2, the Psalmist prayed, “Save me from death, for I am loyal to you.” His loyalty became the ransom that secured his deliverance. In essence, he was saying, "Lord, rescue me because I have remained faithful to Your calling, to Your word, and to the work of Your kingdom."

A similar instance is seen in Isaiah 38:3, “when King Hezekiah pleaded with God after receiving a prophecy about his impending death. He reminded God of his faithfulness and dedication—and God responded favorably, granting him 15 more years of life.”

God never forsakes those who are loyal to Him. Anyone who remains an asset to God’s kingdom and purpose will experience His salvation, even in the face of adversity.

Take a moment for self-reflection:

 "Have I been faithful to God?"

 "Does God have a reason to respond to my cry for help?"

Examine your life, commit to faithfulness, and rest assured that God honors those who honor Him.

1. O! God, help me daily to live for you in total steadfastness & loyalty.

2. Save me Lord from the hands of the evil one because of your mercy and grace.

3. I rededicate myself and my family to you and we totally surrender our lives to your will in Jesus name.

GIVE GENEROUSLY

Bible Reading : 11 Corinthians 9:6-12 Text : 2 Corinthians 9:6 "But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully".(NKJV) COMMENTARY Simply put, sparingly implies giving very little compared to what you already have.
