Seeking the Grace of God
Bible Reading: Genesis 14:8 - 16
Text: "And He said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness." Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me." (2 Corinthians 12:9 NKJV)
COMMENTARY
Grace is an unmerited favor from God. It is the divine empowerment that amplifies our little efforts into great manifestations. When the grace of God is upon a person's life, it brings about supernatural transformation—enabling them to accomplish what would have been impossible through human strength alone.
Grace changes your reasoning, refines your reactions toward life, and equips you to achieve what others could not, even in the face of opposition. When a person is called by God—whether to salvation or service—the first experience they often encounter is the uncommon grace of God. This grace allows them to move beyond natural limitations and operate in the extraordinary.
Consider the example of Abraham:
In Genesis 14, five kings could not defeat four kings and their troops. Yet, Abram, with only 318 men and the grace of God, overcame the same enemy forces and recovered all that was taken captive.
This illustrates that grace is the empowerment to recover whatever the enemy has stolen—whether it be peace, opportunities, joy, or progress.
When God’s grace is active in your life, it produces amazing and life-changing results. Where others struggle and fail, His grace lifts you above limitations and enables you to walk in victory.
Tonight, before you sleep, seek His grace earnestly. Thank Him for His grace, and trust that He will empower you for greater things ahead.
Goodnight, and rest in His grace.
PRAYER POINTS:
1. Thank you Lord for the overwhelming provision of your grace upon my life and my family.
By the function of your grace upon my life, I am empowered to face every challenge and obstacle that comes my way daily in Jesus name.
3. Empower me Lord by your grace to conquer in life in Jesus name. Amen
