LOVED BEYOND REASONS
Text: "But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved US, "(VS. 4 NKJV)
COMMENTARY
Romans 6:23 tells us, "The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord." Similarly, Romans 3:23 reminds us, "All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." Simply put, our sinful nature means we are destined for death.
Ephesians 2:1 makes this even clearer: "You were once dead in your sins and trespasses, but God made you alive." Even though we were rebellious, disobedient, arrogant, and sinful, God’s mercy still reached us.
By nature, we were spiritually dead—separated from Him by our sin. But instead of leaving us in our guilt and shame, God chose to give us life. He did this by offering up His own Son, shedding His precious blood on our behalf. We, who deserved judgment, were instead given love and redemption. Through Jesus' sacrifice, our dead nature was exchanged for new life, and because of Him, we can now approach God as holy and righteous.
This is the depth of God’s love—undeserved, unearned, yet freely given. He didn't love us because we were worthy, but because His love knows no bounds.
Before you sleep tonight, ask yourself:
Are you truly living with the awareness that someone gave their life for yours?
Take a moment to reflect on this amazing grace.
PRAYER POINTS:
1. Thank You Lord for Your saving grace through the blood of your Only Son.
Dear Lord, keep me in the consciousness that Christ's blood was paid as a ransom for my sin and help me live to glorify you.
3. O! God, let your love overflow in my life and in my family in Jesus name.
Amen.

God's love is so benevolent that it cost Him His own son... what manner of love is this?
