DON'T ABUSE GOD'S PURPOSE

Bible Reading: Genesis 11:1-9

Text: "Come, let Us go down and there confuse their language, that they may not understand one another's speech." (Genesis 11:7 NKJV)

COMMENTARY

Everything God does is intentional—every creation, every day, every law, and every instruction has a purpose. Nothing He sets in place is without meaning, and He does not approve when anyone tries to interfere with His divine plans.

From the very beginning, God had a clear purpose for humanity. In Genesis 1, His instructions to Adam were simple and direct: "Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth." But when people later decided to settle in one place and build a tower reaching the heavens, they strayed from His purpose. The Tower of Babel became an act of defiance, an attempt to rewrite what God had already ordained. As a result, God confused their language and scattered them across the earth.

This same principle applies to our daily lives. Whenever we step outside of God's will, we begin to experience confusion, struggles, and difficulties from different directions. Things don’t seem to fall into place because we’ve veered off the path He planned for us. But the moment we realign ourselves with His purpose, life becomes fruitful, peaceful, and fulfilling once again.

Tonight, before you sleep, take a moment to reflect.

Have you strayed from God’s path?

Are you walking in His purpose, or have you been trying to do things your own way?

If you find yourself off track, ask for His forgiveness and guidance. Surrender your plans back to Him and trust that He will restore you. Better days are ahead.

PRAYER POINTS:

1. Dear Lord, please always keep me on the path of your purpose for my life in Jesus name.

2. Thank you for your grace to guide me in the path that I am destined to follow in life.

3. Keep me and my family Lord in your plans, and help us not to abuse your purpose for our lives in Jesus name.

SLEEPING CAPSULE

When a man abuses God's purpose, he suffers from confusion and set back.
