CLOSE FELLOWSHIP WITH GOD


Bible Reading: Genesis 5:12-21

Text: "By faith Enoch was taken away so that he did not see death, and was not found: Because God had taken him", for before he was taken he had this testimony, that he pleased God. " (Hebrews 11:5 NKJV)

COMMENTARY

If there is one thing that God desires most from His people, it is sweet fellowship with Him. This is why it grieves Him when we stray into the pathway of sin, because sin creates a barrier that separates us from experiencing deep communion with Him.

Before the time of Enoch, many generations had lived, yet the Bible never recorded that they walked in close fellowship with God. However, Enoch’s life was different—he cultivated intimacy with God in such a way that the Lord manifested Himself uniquely to him.

The Bible declares that “Enoch did not see death”—what a great privilege! In his case, God took him away from natural death. For us, close fellowship with God can separate us from other forms of "death" such as:

- Struggles and hardships

- Unproductiveness and stagnation

- Barrenness and lack

- Joblessness and depression


When we walk closely with God, He leads us into a realm of divine favor, peace, and supernatural breakthroughs. He makes everything work together for our good and grants us victory over life's difficulties.

Tonight, make a firm decision to live in close fellowship with God through His Holy Spirit. Seek His presence daily, and you will experience a life of abundance, peace, and divine guidance.

PRAYER POINTS:

1. Heavenly Father, help me to walk in close fellowship with You through the Holy Spirit in Jesus name.

2. Separate me from anything that signifies death in my life and family and sustain me in Jesus name.

3. As we walk in close fellowship with you, make me an answer to the problem of my generation in Jesus name.

GIVE GENEROUSLY

Bible Reading : 11 Corinthians 9:6-12 Text : 2 Corinthians 9:6 "But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully".(NKJV) COMMENTARY Simply put, sparingly implies giving very little compared to what you already have.
