BEGINNING SUCCESSFULLY FOR COMPLETING POWERFULLY
Bible Reading: Zechariah 4:1-9
Text: "The hands of Zerubbabel Have laid the foundation of this temple; His hands shall also finish it. Then you will know that the LORD of hosts has sent me to you. (vs. 9 NKJV)
COMMENTARY
In life's journey, how you start is not as important as how you finish.
This does not mean that your beginning should be wrong, but even if it is, you can still end strong. Conversely, a good start does not guarantee a great finish if caution is thrown to the wind. Ultimately, the end of a man's journey is what truly matters.
Consider Zerubbabel—a man chosen by God for a divine assignment. He began his work with zeal, determination, and great passion. However, along the way, discouragement and opposition set in. He started losing hope, growing weary, and doubting his ability to complete the task God had given him.
Yet, God did not leave him stranded.
In His mercy, God called Zerubbabel back on track, reassuring him:"The hands that started this work shall also finish it" (Zechariah 4:9).
This promise reminds us that:
Your fears and limitations cannot stop God's purpose for your life.
When God assigns you a task, He does not abandon you halfway.
God is always present to strengthen and guide you—just as He did for Zerubbabel.
Whatever unfinished dreams, assignments, or goals you have struggled with, God is giving you the grace to finish strong.Tonight, present those matters before the Lord once again, for with His divine intervention, your success is guaranteed. Amen.
Prayer Points:
1. O! God, grant me your grace to start off well and finish strong in Jesus name.
2. Heavenly Father, order my steps wherever I have strayed and grant me the finisher's anointing in Jesus name. Amen
3. Lord Jesus, contend with my opposition and adversaries and make my feet firm in Jesus name. Amen
