BE NOT FAR FROM ME!



Bible Reading: Proverbs 30:1-9

Text: "Remove far from me vanity and lies:" "be not far from me O! my God." (Proverbs 30:8; Psalm 38:21 KJV)

COMMENTARY

The most important state in the life of a child of God is the state of holiness. The Bible teaches that holiness is the key to drawing near to the Lord and remaining in His presence. God detests iniquity, and it is only our unholy state that can create distance between us and Him.

The devil may attack a person who is close to God, but he cannot defeat or frustrate them. Just as the closer you are to the sun, the hotter it gets, so also, the closer you are to God, the more secure and preserved your life becomes. This does not mean that trials will never come, but rather that challenges will never overpower you because God is your defense.

We often say, "A family that prays together stays together." This is because when a family remains close to God in prayer, He preserves their love, unity, peace, and prosperity. When a family is rooted in holiness, they can withstand every attack from the enemy.

Tonight is a night of reflection. Take time to evaluate your spiritual state.

Are you standing in holiness or ungodliness?

Is there anything separating you from God?

How is your family’s relationship with Him?

Your closeness to God determines how secure and preserved your life is. Before you sleep, examine yourself. Seek holiness, stay close to God, and experience His divine protection.

PRAYER POINTS:

1. O! God, remove me from every falsehood that seems to defile my right standing with you.

2. Forsake me not 0! Lord, and do not be far from me. In your love, draw me close in Jesus name.

3. Heavenly Father, by your word and your presence in my life, I and my family are secured from every battle of the enemy against us in Jesus name.

GIVE GENEROUSLY

Bible Reading : 11 Corinthians 9:6-12 Text : 2 Corinthians 9:6 "But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully".(NKJV) COMMENTARY Simply put, sparingly implies giving very little compared to what you already have.
