The Power of Transformation.


Sub-Topic: The Renewing Work of the Holy Spirit

Biblical Text: Romans 12:2.

Commentary:

Romans 12:2 not only emphasizes the need for change, but also provides hope for transformation. The passage says, "Be transformed by the renewing of your mind." This change is the work of the Holy Spirit. As we give our life to God and seek His direction, He renews our brains, bringing our ideas and aspirations in line with His will.

Renewal is not a quick procedure. It is a voyage of development and change. The Holy Spirit operates inside us when we read scripture, pray, and spend time with other Christians, altering our ideas, attitudes, and actions.

Prayer: Dear Lord, I submit my thoughts to You. Renew my ideas and aspirations in accordance with Your perfect will.

Work Action: Read a chapter of Romans this week. Concentrate on texts that describe the Holy Spirit's action in our lives.

Scriptural Reference: Titus 3:5. "He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior."

GIVE GENEROUSLY

Bible Reading : 11 Corinthians 9:6-12 Text : 2 Corinthians 9:6 "But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully".(NKJV) COMMENTARY Simply put, sparingly implies giving very little compared to what you already have.
