The Fruit of Renewal
Sub-Topic: Living a Transformed Life
Biblical Text: Romans 12:2.
Commentary:
Romans 12:2 does not conclude by implying comprehending God's will. It highlights the external manifestation of this transition. The passage focuses on the fruit of renewal: living a life that reflects God's character.
Renewal results in changes to our ideas, words, and deeds. We develop greater love, compassion, and forgiveness. We exercise self-control and reject the temptations that earlier held us hostage. Our lives become a testimony to God's transformative ability.
Renewal is a lifetime process. There will be instances when we slip and fall short. However, as long as we stay faithful to God and His word, He continues to work inside us, molding us into His image.
Prayer: Dear Lord, help me live a life that reflects Your kindness and gives honor to Your name.
Work Action: Choose one area where you wish to feel renewed this week. Write out a particular action you may do to reflect this shift in your life.
Scriptural Reference: Galatians 5:22–23 "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law."
