Shepherd's Care.

Sub-Topic: Finding Security in God's Presence.

Biblical Text: Psalm 23:1.

Commentary:

Psalm 23 begins with a strong image: the Lord is our shepherd. Shepherds care for their sheep, keeping them safe and leading them to nutritious pastures. The passage informs us that "the Lord is my shepherd," meaning total safety and provision in His presence.

Loss may make us feel vulnerable and insecure. The comfortable world we previously knew may seem destroyed. However, this passage reminds us that even in the face of loss, God is a continual source of assurance and care.

While grieving is a normal and essential process, we do not have to go through it alone. Even amid the deepest valleys, God's presence continues to provide us with strength and hope.

Prayer: Lord, be my shepherd at this time of grief. Guide and soothe me with Your presence.

Work Action: Locate a quiet space to reflect. Write a scripture that reminds you of God's care, such as Isaiah 41:10, and memorize it this week.

Scriptural Reference: Isaiah 41:10 "So do not be afraid, for I am with you; do not be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen and aid you; I will support you with my righteous right hand."
