How storms cloud vision.

Sub-Topic: Recognizing the Storms in Life.

Biblical Text: Proverbs 3:5-6

Commentary:

Life is seldom easy sailing. We all face storms, whether from personal problems, unanticipated setbacks, or global issues. The first stanza of this chapter recognizes this truth.

The storm might obscure our view, making it difficult to see the way forward. Our natural impulse may be to depend on our own knowledge, attempting to manage the storm alone. However, Proverbs 3:5 urges us to act differently: "Trust in the Lord with all your heart."

Prayer: Dear Lord, let me recognize Your presence even in the middle of the storm.

Work Action: Write down a current difficulty you are experiencing. Determine where you may be depending on your own intellect instead of trusting God.

Scriptural Reference: Psalm 46:1. "God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble."

  1. God, my trust is in you, my very present help in times of needs.
